Deep Rest in The Farmluxe Garden

A One-Day Meditative Floral Retreat

Farmluxe Garden, San Juan Island, WA, USA

July 25, 2027 · $899 USD

After many requests for a one-day retreat, we are delighted to offer this intimate experience in 2027.

Created for both women and men, who long for the beauty and restoration of a retreat but aren't able to step away for five or six days, this is one beautiful afternoon and evening set aside for you.

A day to step away from the noise, wander through flowers, listen to beautiful live music, create with your hands, eat an extraordinary meal beneath the evening sky—and, perhaps most importantly, have absolutely nothing expected of you.

THE EXPERIENCE

Our one-day garden retreat is designed around deep rest, beauty, creativity and quiet reflection.

Unlike our traditional women's retreats, this experience will be intentionally more meditative than social. Much of our time together will be spent in peaceful silence, with only the sounds of the birds, harp and soft guitar.

Throughout the day, the gardens will be filled with beautiful live meditative music from a harpist and acoustic guitarist, creating a gentle soundtrack as you wander, rest and create.

There will be no pressure to make conversation, meet everyone, share your story, explain what you're feeling, or perform in any way. You are welcome to come alone. You are welcome to be quiet. You are welcome to spend an afternoon simply receiving.

We want the entire experience to feel like one long exhale.

A PLACE UNLIKE ANYWHERE ELSE

The setting is as much a part of this retreat as anything we have planned for you.

You'll spend the day immersed in our extraordinary private floral gardens overlooking the ocean and surrounding islands—a place created and tended with tremendous care and filled with an abundance of flowers at the height of the summer growing season.

From nearly everywhere in the garden, beauty surrounds you: masses of flowers in the foreground, the ocean stretching out beyond them, islands in the distance and, as evening approaches, the changing light of the setting sun.

This isn't a retreat taking place in a hotel, conference room or rented event venue. The garden itself is part of the experience. You'll have the rare opportunity to experience it slowly and intimately—to wander without crowds, tuck yourself into a quiet corner, lie beneath the open sky, cut flowers directly from the gardens and simply spend time somewhere extraordinarily beautiful.

ITINERARY

Your retreat begins at 2:30 p.m.

You'll arrive at the farm and be welcomed with seasonal appetizers and beautiful floral beverages before joining Misha for a leisurely tour through the gardens. This is your introduction to the flowers and to this special place—but after our garden tour, the pace of the afternoon begins to change.

The talking quiets. The schedule softens. And we begin to slow down.

A REFLECTIVE GARDEN STROLL

Following the tour, you'll be invited to wander the gardens on your own for a self-guided meditative garden stroll. This isn't another tour. There is no information to absorb, conversation to maintain or destination to reach. Instead, you'll receive a simple garden reflection card and an invitation: Notice. Receive. Release.

You may want to consider what you are ready to put down—and what you would like to make more room for in your life. You can jot down a few words in your journal, or you can write nothing at all. The prompts are simply invitations to notice. There is nothing to accomplish here.Wander slowly. Sit on a bench. Touch the herbs. Smell the roses. Watch the bees. Feel the sun on your face.  Just be in the garden.

SOUND, STILLNESS AND REST

After your stroll, we'll settle into the garden for a deeply restorative sound bath surrounded by flowers and nature. You'll be invited to lie back, close your eyes and simply receive. The sound bath will flow into a gentle guided meditation followed by quiet journaling, giving you space to notice whatever has surfaced during the afternoon.

And then—we won't rush to the next thing. There will be space simply to rest. Pour yourself a cup of tea. Find a blanket beneath a tree. Wander back into the garden. Sit overlooking the water. Close your eyes. Write in your journal. Or do absolutely nothing. We intentionally leave this space open because sometimes the most restorative part of a retreat is the moment when no one is asking you to be anywhere at all.

A MEDITATION WITH THE FLOWERS

Later in the afternoon, we'll return to the flowers. After a gentle introduction to the art of creating a floral mandala, you'll take your clippers and wander back into the cutting gardens.

Choose the blooms that speak to you.

There is no recipe to follow and no perfect arrangement to create. Perhaps you'll find yourself drawn to a certain color, texture or flower. Perhaps something you noticed during your earlier garden stroll will find its way into what you gather.

Then, surrounded by flowers and soft live music, we'll create our mandalas quietly. Petal by petal. Without striving to make something impressive. This is creativity without performance—a chance to let your hands be occupied while your mind becomes still.

A QUIET SUNSET SUPPER

As afternoon begins to turn toward evening, we'll transition into the final experience of the retreat: an organic gourmet farm-to-table dinner in the garden overlooking the ocean and setting sun. And even dinner will carry the peaceful spirit of the day.

Rather than gathering everyone around one large communal table where conversation becomes the focus, we'll create small, beautiful dining spaces throughout the garden. Choose the place that feels right to you. Sit peacefully on your own. Share a little table with someone you came with. Or enjoy gentle conversation if it arises naturally. There is no expectation to socialize.

We think of this as a Quiet Sunset Supper—not silent, but wonderfully unhurried. Our private chef will prepare a beautiful gourmet dinner using exceptional organic and seasonal ingredients. As you eat, our musicians will continue playing softly in the garden. Taste your food. Listen to the music. Watch the light change over the water. Notice the flowers around you. Stay for the sunset. There will be no closing circle asking you to share what you've learned. No final workshop. No need to put your experience into words. Dinner itself is our closing ritual.

We'll conclude at 9:00 p.m., hopefully beneath the colors of an unforgettable island sunset.
